Jessica Mascher CD(DONA),
Jessica Mascher, LMP and Birth Doula (Formerly Dynamite Doula Services)
I am very excited to have two career interests that blend so wonderfully together. A career where I get to treat people as people, spending time with my clients and caring for them in a way that is nurturing, empowering and beneficial. I am both a Licensed Massage Practitioner and a Birth Doula. I aim to empower my clients with both my birth work and massage work and provide them tools so they feel in charge of their health and well-being.
I am a DONA certified Birth Doula and did my training in 2011 in Portland, OR. For the first two years I primarily worked with low-income women who were referred to me through the county health system. I then moved to Seattle in January 2013 to pursue massage school. While in school in addition to my general studies, I did volunteer maternity massage at a local birthing center.
I attended school at Cortiva Institute of Massage in South Lake Union. I offer massage ranging from relaxation to treatment. I incorporate a variety of modalities into each massage, including neuromuscular techniques, fascial work, and swedish to best address my client's needs. I have additional training and am passionate about working with those who suffer from TMJD and problems with the neck and cervical spine. For TMJ disorders I practice a style of massage called Intraoral Massage (discussed in depth on a later page).
These services can be utilized together or separately.
In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors, cooking, reading, spending time with my partner, watching movies, and traveling.
